Better PvP is a mod meant to make PvP combat a lot easier for any player, it adds tons of new interfaces that improve the way you manage your inventory and other aspects of the game you can add a mini-map interface to help you on your adventures, an automatic sneak toggle so you don't have to press anything and move freely while you sneak. I agree, the best versions to play are 1.6.4, 1.7.10, 1.8.9, 1.13.2 and 1.14, also when combat changes, I hope they bring back the old 1.8 style pvp where you can spam click swords with no cooldown, but shields can stay as they are helpful.
